Pipeline is the current iteration of a company I started in 2002 called Locke Marketing Public Relations. For the five years before founding Locke MPR, I was a part owner and the Public Relations Director for KnollGROUP, a former full service advertising and public relations
agency in Portland. I was integrally involved in client relations while also directing the agency's public relations activities on behalf of all clients. I learned a lot about how agencies work with clients and what clients need from agencies. This experience helped me to develop the niche I am now servicing. (See “Our Approach”)

I have spent my entire 25-year career in marketing and communications for a variety of employers, with an early emphasis on public relations. For much of my career my clients and employers have been a part of the shelter industry, with the earliest being in the forest products category.

I am an accredited member of the Public Relations Society of America. I served on PRSA’s
local chapter board for 12 years, including a term as president in 2000. In 2006 the local PRSA chapter named me recipient of The William Marsh Lifetime Achievement Award, the chapter's highest professional honor. For about six years, beginning in 1998, I taught Integrated Marketing Communications at Portland State University. It was during this period that I developed the strategic approach that I apply to clients' marketing communications needs.

In addition to these professional activities, I am an active member of the Rotary Club of Portland, and I have served as a volunteer and a board member for a variety of non-profit service organizations, including Portland Habitat for Humanity and the Edgefield Children's Center.

When I am not working, I enjoy participating in my three kids’ lives, playing cards, blowing
off steam on the racquetball court, and rooting for the Bosox to win another one.
