project: Public Relations and Marketing Consulting

cause: A client since 2002, Wesco mainly relies on our public relations skills although
we are pulled in often to help facilitate projects as part of the company’s virtual
marketing team.

effect: Founded in 1918, Wesco is a family-owned and operated bootmaker based
in Scappoose, Oregon. Wesco initially came to Christie in 2002 to help promote its
Firestormer‚ boot to wildland firefighters. This initial PR project was the start of a
relationship that has since included broad-based marketing consulting, writing and
project management for a web site update, many successful direct mail and e-mail
campaigns, and public relations efforts for the entire boot lineup to a wide variety of
occupational, recreational and fashion audiences.
